With latest technological inputs Visaka Industries Limited has setup an unit at Miryalguda in Andhra Pradesh, exclusively for the manufacturing of Non Asbestos Board known as V Board
V-Boards are made with special grade cellulose fibres and Inorganic binders of siliceous base. The matrix made to the required thickness is cured at high pressure and high temperature in autoclaves to Impart dimensional stability. The Cement component makes it more durable and the pulp content makes it more workable. The Ingredients are autoclaved to attain crystalline structure which in turn provides the declared dimensional stability to V-Board.
Thermal conductivity of V Board is lower than any other substitute of its nature and this property makes it a good Insulator Hence the V-Board can be used as an Energy saving aid to maintain the temperatures In closed air conditioned rooms.
V-Board Applications
False Ceilings : V-Board is ideally suited in false ceiling applications in offices,houses,industries,commercial establishments and as well as for high humidity locations like toilets, kitchens, washrooms, laboratories and healthcare facilities etc.V-Board false ceilings can be finished with decorative paints.
Wall Partitions : V-Board being a triple advantage board, provides fire, termite, impact resistant,weather / moisture resistant effective partation system, which is ideally suited for application in all domestic,commercial establishments like offices, hospital,shopping malls etc.
Wall Paneling : V-Board provides an aesthetically appealing solution for paneling.Various finishes like laminates , veneer, wallpaper etc can be applied on to the same to further add its elegent look.This application is ideally suited for moisture prone areas where dampness in the wall can be covered.
Door panels : V-Board are used extensively for doors for toilets,bathrooms,and kitchen and balcony areas.The boards being moisture,termite proof,fire resistant and impact resistant,are durable and long lasting.
Mezzanine Flooring : V-Boards with 20 mm thick & strength specially suited for load carrying make an excellent flooring material for low roof areas like mezzanine floors,extra storage areas etc.The time to erect these boards is less compared to conventional methods.Vitrified or ceramic tiles, vinyl flooring or carpets to match the decor can be added for better finish.
back Liners : V-Board being termite, moisture proof and fire resistant,are most suited for cupboards,kitchen cabinets,furniture back liners,electrical board back liners.The boards recommended are 6/8mm thickness which can be screwed on the rear side of the cabinets,cupboards and funiture liners.(The boards should be coated with primer on both sides)
Structural Glazing Back Lining
V-Board is the most effective and economical solution as a back lining material.V-Board with inherent qualities like moisture resistant surface , also provides a good thermal resistance in reducing the heat transfer from structural glazing.V-Board of 6/8 mm thick are fixed in between the concrete beam and aluminium/powder coated structural glazing framework for an effective condensation and temperature control.

V-Board is an ideal material for fast track prefab construction that is semi-permanent. Prefab structures made of V-Board are light weight, fast and easy to erect in remote areas V-Board's strength added with its durability properties allows the Structures to withstand adverse weathering elements in places as well as high altitude locations (Moisture termite fire-resistant properties)
Roofing: Substrate Tiles
V-Board provides triple advantage (fire, water, -termite resistance) and non-corrosive surface under the roofing tiles. Clay tiles are laid on the V-Board made out of 10/12 mm thickness. V-Board reduces the number of secondary supporting members of purlins and gives a larger surface area of contact for tiles which are axed either on battens or laid over screed layer of cement mortar/PCC reinforced with chicken wire mesh. However It is mandatory to ensure that only dry V Boards are use for roof tile substrate applications duly coated it minimum two coats of oil based primer before fixing the same on to the framework.
