Smoother, Whiter Surface FLEX-O-BOARD is smoother and whiter than conventional fibre cement flat sheets. The smooth surface blends well with any surrounding, as such there is no need for surface
applications. However, if added decor is desired. FLEX-O-BOARD can take in any paint, any shade.
Greater Dimensional Stability
The steam-curing process and special constituents of FLEX-O-BOARD make it crystalline, whereas conventional fibre cement flat sheets are amorphous. This gives
FLEX-O-BOARD greater dimensional stability and makes it warp-free.
Better Paint Retainability
Normal water-cured fibre cement flat sheets contain about 11% free lime. This causes a 'leaching' action, which tends to eat away surface applications. On the contrary,
FLEX-O-BOARD has negligible free lime content, which makes it easily paintable and gives it better paint retaining properties.

WARP-Resistance
Being crystalline, FLEX-O-BOARD is not affected by the vagaries of temperature fluctuations and can withstand extremes of both heat and cold. It is, therefore, ideal for
use in cold storages and humidification plants. It is immune to moisture, corrosion, vermin and weather.
FLEX-O-BOARD does not transmit heat or electricity readily and proves an ideal building board especially in high temperature zones.

IMPORTANT POINTS
1. Don't stack more than 120 sheets in a stack
2. Smooth surface of the sheet should be upwards
3. Never punch holes - drill them
4. Drill holes in sheets - at least 3 mm larger than fixing bolts
5. Be sure, sheets are mitred by cutting with a saw
6. Be sure, sheets are mitred correctly
7. Nuts should be screwed lightly first and tightened only after 13 or 14 sheets are laid
8. Tighten the nuts evenly allowing the bitumen washer to merely seal the space between the holes and the bolts
9. Don't overtighten the nuts. Allow for the movement of structure
10. Don't exceed purlin spacing of 1.4 metres for roofing & 1.7 metres for side claddings
11. Provide a purlin at every end lap
12. Don't exceed free overhang of 300mm at eaves
13. Distance between outlets in gutter line should not exceed 15 metres
